I am in the throws of adding another arm to my 'self employment' by hand making memory books like the ones I did for my sister... let me know what you think!
Jazakillahu khair for your support sis, I have to be self employed so that I can home educate so I have to keep adding little enterprises to my portfolio of money making schemes lol. xXx
Good to hear your all just about recovered, I was thinking I hadnt seen you at PE for a while!
My sis in law had a baby and I want to make a memory/keepsake box but Ive never made one before, I remembered you make stuff like this so wanted to ask you for any tips and pointers and more importantly where you get your bits and bobs from such as flowers, beads, lace and other little trinkets. Ive been looking on ebay and to be honest I find it quite expensive. I think Ill try the charity shops and the market and see if I can get any bargains inshallah.
Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, awww sis that's soooo sweet mashaAllah. The stuff to make these things can be pretty expensive, that's why they can be expensive to purchase ready made, but if you go on You Tube and look for scrapbooking or mini album tutorials you will find lots to get you on your way inshaAllah. I get some of my stuff from eBay and lace, beads, braiding and buttons etc you can get from the Market Place in town inshaAllah. You can also purchase supplies from 'Gadbys' and also 'Domino's'. You can also dismantle old jewellry or pearls bracelets/hair clips for charms and beads - Primark and Pound World are good for that. Finally, I would say to use a really good glue to adhere any paper to card....you can buy really strong red double sided tape from craft shops for this and I would recommend an hot glue for attaching flowers n the like inshaAllah. Have fun sis, I'm sure your SIL will love it mashaAllah.
